Arsenal will go into the 2021/22 season knowing it will be their first campaign without mid-week European football for 25 years, after the Gunners finished eighth for the second time in a row.For much of the last day of the season, it looked as if Arsenal may leapfrog local rivals Tottenham and sneak their way into the newly-formed Europa Conference League, but it wasn't to be as a late Spurs comeback resigned the Gunners to solely domestic action next campaign.Despite calls for him to lose his job during a horrific run of form just before the Christmas period which saw the Gunners endure their worst home form since the 1950's, Mikel Arteta remains at the helm and is thought to have the full backing of the Arsenal hierarchy.
