Arsenal intend to make 55 members of club staff redundant amid the coronavirus pandemic.Arsenal head of football Raul Sanllehi announced the news as he detailed the impact that Covid-19 has had on the club, even with Mikel Arteta's side winning this season's FA Cup.The Gunners are one of many clubs affected with matches being played behind closed doors following a three-month break.A statement from Sanllehi and managing director Vinai Venkatesham read: “Over recent years we have consistently invested in additional staff to take the club forward but with the expected reduction of income in mind, it is now clear that we must reduce our costs further to ensure we are operating in a sustainable and responsible way, and to enable us to continue.
