Arsenal have announced that Vinai Venkatesham will run the club after Raul Sanllehi’s departure. Sanllehi joined the club as Head of Football Relations back in February of 2018, moving into his current role of Head of Football following the departure of former CEO Ivan Gazidis.Rather than choosing to find a replacement from outside the club, the directors have chosen to hand more responsibility to Vinai Venkatesham.Venkatesham joined the club way back in 2010, and held a host of different jobs before assuming his his current role of managing director when Gazidis left to join AC Milan back in 2018.The football administrator has a Master of Arts from the University of Oxford, and previously worked as an oil trader.Venkatesham has also worked.
