The victim suffered minor injuries during the attack, which happened on Friday evening (August 27). Armed officers raced to the shopping centre following a ‘potential sighting of a firearm’ at around 6pm. READ MORE: A number of youngsters fled from the scene when they spotted the specialist officers, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
Eight children were detained following multiple reports of an ‘altercation’ between two groups of youngsters. The children were all aged between 12 and 13.
