The woman explained to art expert Philip Mould that she was only allowed to keep the painting "as long as it wasn't valued at too much".The painting, which she believed was drawn by famous court painter Sir Godfrey Kneller, was purchased by her grandparents and she picked it when they passed away in 2009.
She says on the BBC programme: "When I asked my mother if I could have this portrait, she said I could have him as long as he wasn't valued at too much.
