But telling a few white lies to get a sale is not an accusation that can be levelled at one mum who has put her caravan on the market - and was probably a little too honest about its condition.
Katie Perkins posted an advert on Facebook Marketplace to find a buyer for her 'ancient 27-year-old caravan' and the listing quickly went viral thanks to her hilarious and expletive-laden description.
She explained her family of seven had called the caravan home for seven years while they were building their dream house 'which turned into a f***ing nightmare'.
