Julie Phillips, 50, wanted to give her bedroom a Scandinavian-style makeover without spending a fortune on the job. One of the main things she hoped to purchase was a wooden headboard, but after seeing them listed for extortionate prices online, she decided to try her hand at some DIY.
Julie cleverly purchased some wood effect wallpaper from Amazon to put on the wall behind her bed to give the illusion of a Scandi-inspired oak headboard.
The transformation took the mum-of-two just under an hour and saved her hundreds of pounds, costing just £30 in total.
