Arsenal’s match-winner Alexandre Lacazette has admitted West Ham deserved more at the Emirates on Saturday. Lacazette came off the bench to score the only goal of the game with VAR intervening after Mesut Ozil had originally been adjudged offside in the build-up.
The Gunners dominated possession but it was West Ham with more chances as the visitors had 14 shots to Arsenal’s nine. Mikel Arteta’s side had Bernd Leno to thank for a number of fine saves and Lacazette admitted West Ham probably deserved more than they got.
Lacazette said: “I’m happy to score for the team. We worked hard. It was a difficult game. I’m happy. “They deserved more because of the chances they created.
