'Adored' man tragically dies after telling his friends he was 'really terrified'

The keen boater who was as a regular punter at West Lancashire's canalside pubs, tested positive for Covid-19 on July 28 and died two weeks later at Southport Hospital.

For more than 30 years, George had resided in a narrowboat in Burscough, where he became a popular figure within the village and local community, reports Liverpool Echo.He regularly travelled to nearby areas and even occasionally ventured on more long-distance trips, one of which took his 'El Cyd' boat to the River Thames.Fellow Burscough resident Suzanne.
