Ukrainian-born Dancing With the Stars proMaksim Chmerkovskiy is fearing for his life and the lives of his friends in Kiev following a Russian invasion into the country over night.The 42-year-old dancer shared tearful videos to Instagram from the capital city following the attack, telling fans he was seeking refuge in 'a bomb shelter' and wanted 'to go back home'.On Thursday, Russian forces fired on the city of nearly 3 million residents with around two dozen attack helicopters, four of which are thought to have been shot down. Chmerkovskiy says of the Russian invasion that recently began to unfold. 'Honestly, I'm getting really emotional. It's been a little difficult.
You know me, I stay strong. And I don't show it, but I want to go back home,' he said.The reality star added that he was grateful that his wife, fellow dancer Peta Murgatroyd and their five-year-old son Shai Aleksander, were far away and not in danger.
