Dave Cormack has revealed the club have had a bid to have a second test event turned down by the Scottish Government. The Dons chief hoped to have 1000 fans in Pittodrie for Sunday's game against Celtic but despite backing from the Aberdeen City Council, the government refused permission for it to go ahead.
Aberdeen were one of the clubs who held a test event last month when 300 supporters attended their game against Kilmarnock at Pittodrie.
That was hailed as a success but stricter Covid restriction measures have been put in place since and Cormack revealed the government weren't willing to budge on no fans being in the ground.
