Children's Ward has earned itself a good reputation of producing some of the most well-know stars still on TV today. It was the children's drama that became one of the best-loved programmes on CITV - and it was filmed in Greater Manchester.
Debuting its first episode in March 1989, the soap opera for kids was shot in Bolton at the Bolton General Hospital, which is now the Royal Bolton Hospital.
