Liverpool have sent Scotland captain Andy Robertson for a scan on his hamstring injury. The Anfield giants hope to find out on Wednesday the full extent of the left-back’s fitness issues.
Robertson felt his hamstring at half-time in the vital win over Denmark that saw Scotland clinch top seeding and a home tie for the World Cup play-offs.
The defender played on but had to admit defeat and limped off to be replaced by Scott McKenna for the final 10 minutes or so.
Robertson is now deemed a major doubt for Saturday evening’s clash against Arsenal, who will have fellow Scotland star Kieran Tierney in their ranks.
