Yewande Biala has addressed the colourism row sparked amid allegations that Rochelle Humes replaced Candice Brathwaite in an upcoming Channel 4 documentary about black women and childbirth.
The Love Island star, 25, penned a piece for The Independent in which she told that "dark skin women are not looking to be pitied; we want to be heard" after This Morning star Rochelle had been accused of taking the hosting spot from Candice.
Candice, 35, initially said she was "gutted" by the decision but later denied that Rochelle, 31, had taken the Channel 4 job from her, insisting she was "never in the running" to be the host after comments started being shared on Twitter.
