Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Yes Studios is partnering up with Paramount’s Ananey Studios on “The Lost City: 101 Days in Captivity,” a new three-part documentary series revolving around the true story of four young Israelis who were kidnapped while on a trip to South America in 2003.
The series, which will premiere on Yes Docu on Sept. 19, was created by the award-winning documentarian Ofir Trainin (“Wandering Eyes,” “Family in Trans”) and Omri Kronland, Ananey Studios’ documentary and non-scripted content editor-manager.
Kronland is also the author of the novel “The Place Where the Sun Begins.” Helmed by Trainin, “The Lost City: 101 Days in Captivity” tells the story of four young Israelis who decided to go on the ultimate trek to “The Lost City” in Colombia, along with four foreign travelers they met along the way.
Within 48 hours, they were kidnapped by the ELN, a notorious guerrilla organization that held them for 101 days in the heart of the Colombian jungle.
