Gemma Atkinson has revealed her instruction for Gorka Marquez as he left their family home to train with his new Strictly Come Dancing partner.
The dancer is back with the BBC One dance contest and has a new celebrity dance partner for the 2024 series. The much-anticipated new series kicked off on Saturday (September 14) with the colourful and energetic pre-recorded launch show during which the class of 2024 were welcomed into the iconic ballroom for the first time while their professional dance partners were also revealed.
Among the partnerships being made were practising GP and Morning Live's resident Dr Punam and Gorka, who is now the longest-serving professional dancer on the show. READ MORE: Gemma Atkinson praised for response to Gorka Marquez's tearful admission after Strictly return The partnership, however, will takeGorka away from the Greater Manchester home he shares with his fiancee Gemma Atkinson and their two children, five-year-old Mia and one-year-old Thiago, as he trains in Glasgow, where Dr Punam, before moving onto London each weekend for the live shows.
And while Gorka is thrilled to be back on Strictly and to be partnered with Dr Punam, the 34-year-old has also shared the reality behind being away from his family for his dream career.
