WW3 fears as China vows to 'use nuclear bombs' in ongoing row with Japan
dailystar.co.ukDaily Star's biggest headlines straight to your inbox!Officials from China’s ruling Communist Party have issued a dire threat to "continuously use nuclear bombs" against Japan if there’s any interference with a future Chinese invasion of Taiwan.The municipal committee of Baoji, a major city in the province of Shaanxi province, posted a video to China social media network Xigua entitled: ”If Japan intervenes in military affairs to reunify Taiwan, I must recommend the exceptional theory of nuclear strikes on Japan,"earlier today.The “exceptional theory” is a reference to China’s policy that nuclear weapons would not be used in a first strike – except in “exceptional” cases.The threat is apparently a response to a statement from Japan's deputy.
