The challenge was for the contestants to create a collaborative collection consisting of three looks: two runway (read: high fashion) and one accessible (aka what you'd see in a store).
Right off the bat, it was clear that while these designers are happy to work around each other, they're decidedly less happy working with each other—after all, $1 million is on the line!
Designers Johnny Cota and Meghan Smith got paired together, and immediately you could feel their personalities clash. Another stand-out pairing was designer Sabato Russo with Sander Bos—Sabato's aesthetic is streamlined elegance, while Sander's is much more eclectic.
