The World Snooker Championship has been rescheduled with the tournament now set to get underway on July 31. The tournament had been due to begin on April 18 however was postponed in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
And while there are no guarantees that fans will be able to attend the rescheduled event, the Championship will still take place this year.
It means Judd Trump will be able to defend his trophy at the Crucible at the peak of summer with the final set to be contested over the weekend of August 15-16.
The World Snooker Tour have, however, made it clear that even the new dates are subject to prevailing government advice at the time.
