Ronnie O'Sullivan is second favourite to land his first World Snooker Championship since 2013 in the tournament which starts on Friday.

But he doesn't sound like a man with his eyes firmly on the prize. The Rocket is already talking about the prospect of defeat, which has to be a concern for punters planning to bet on The Rocket taking off at The Crucible.

O'Sullivan has already expressed his concern that snooker players are being treated like "lab rats" with some spectators allowed back into the Crucible - the first indoor sporting event to boast a live audience since the Covid-19 lockdown in March.
