Woman stabbed at house in Stockport - a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

manchestereveningnews.co.ukA woman was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Stockport. Police said they were called to a property on Robinson Street in Edgeley shortly before 9am this morning (Sunday) to reports someone had been stabbed.
They found a 46 year-old injured woman. She was taken to hospital for treatment. The air ambulance was seen and heard landing on a car park by residents living close to the terraced street, just off Dale Street and Mercian Way - close to Stockport County's Edgeley Park.
Police confirmed the woman was taken to hospital by road. Her condition has been described as stable. A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder Greater Manchester Police said.
