A woman shot in the chest was saved by her breast implants after they deflected the bullet. The 30-year-old Canadian, who has not been named, was blasted at close range in Toronto.
She only realised she’d been shot after feeling “heat and pain” in her chest and spotting blood. The victim was rushed to the McLean Clinic in Mississauga, Ontario, where her implants were removed.
Doctors say she was “likely” saved by them, after the bullet deflected off the left implant and lodged underneath her right breast.
It is believed to the first recorded case of a breast implant altering the course of a bullet, as reported in Sage Journals.
