A woman fears the blemishes on her face and arms left by 200 bed bug bites may “never go away” after she was attacked by the insects in a Blackpool hotel.
Sharon Haslam, fled the Calypso Hotel last month with her pal Marian Pearson after they woke up to find themselves covered in an itchy rash.
The pair, who are both in their sixties, found droplets of blood covering their bedding and a live bed bug crawling around next to them. The 65-year-old said they’d now received a full refund from their travel agency Booking.com, along with £100 in compensation, but still feel scarred from the experience.
