Police were called to a property on Holker Close in Longsight, Manchester, to reports of a body being found at around 2pm on Friday 11 June.
Formal identification is yet to take place but it is believed the deceased is 58-year-old Beverley Scott. Greater Manchester Police launched a murder investigation and said a 35-year-old woman presented herself at a police station on the evening of Saturday, 12 June.
