The German spectacularly snatched second place in the 2-man Bobsleigh and the 4-man version of the event.But despite all the dangers he has faced as a professional bobsledder, it was a simple altercation with his cat that almost ended his career.
Speaking on how he nearly had his finger amputated last week, Lochner revealed the cause of his unlikely injury.He told BILD: "Now I've been down the most dangerous tracks in the world for ten years.
Nothing ever happened, I never had to have an operation and now this. On Monday I played with our cat. She scratched me like so often.” The German athlete was left with a scratch on his left middle finger, but made the almost-grave error of installing a heater in his own basement.
