Paisley is set to benefit from a new community garden after the town landed top slot in a prestigious competition.

A group of Paisley volunteers have been left devastated after around £2,000 worth of damage was inflicted on a space they were sprucing up for the community.

Work on building a new community garden in Barshaw Park has officially started with contractors setting up on the site.
