Soap fans who are worried that the latest UK lockdown will shut down production can put their minds at ease. EastEnders, Coronation Street, and Emmerdale will continue to film in spite of the new safety measures.
It was announced that parts of the UK will enter a full lockdown with non-essential businesses and schools ordered to remain shut.
An ITV spokesperson confirmed that both Coronation Street and Emmerdale will continue to film during the lockdown which is a relief for soap fans after the TV stations were forced to ration the number of episodes aired each week during the first lockdown in 2020.
