Emergency service crews helped clean up a whisky spillage in Ayrshire today. Loch Lomond Group's maturation site in Hurlford was subject to a huge response from police, fire crews and ambulances from 11am.Despite dozens of emergency vehicles descending on the Ayrshire factory, the boss of the company admits it was just a "small incident" at the Mauchline Road premises and confirmed the liquid spilled was whisky.
Tony Brewerton, Loch Lomond Group operations director, told Ayrshire Live: "As part of our day-to-day operations when he have a small incident, and it was a very small incident, where a barrel has either been dropped or has leaked we have a process that we go through. "The process that we went through this morning after a dropped barrel has yielded a response from emergency services."It's all been part of a process, there was no one injured.
