In our exclusive interview, leading figures from the beauty industry give their opinion on when hairdressers and salons may open On Sunday Boris Johnson laid out plans for the first stages of lifting lockdown.

This included relaxing the rules of one form of exercise a day, as well as a phased re-opening of retails and some school years from the beginning of June.

Some hospitality services may be allowed to open from early July. In the government guidelines issued on Monday, it looks like hairdressers and beauty salons will open on July 4 at the earliest.

The document states that: 'The next step will also take place when the assessment of risk warrants further adjustments to the remaining measures.
