Chelsea transfer target Kai Havertz has made it clear to Bayer Leverkusen that he wants to leave this summer, according to the club's CEO Fernando Carro.
The Blues have been heavily linked with a swoop for Havertz and Carro has revealed that the player has "voiced his desire to make the next step".Speaking to German publication Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger, Carro said: "It was always clear that we will have talks once the Europa League season concluded."Kai has voiced his desire to make the next step.
At the moment, I can't say whether this will work out in the near future or not." Carro's comments come after the club's sporting director Rudi Voller claimed that Havertz will only leave if "certain requirements are met".
