After an early flurry of activity in the transfer market which saw them complete deals for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, Chelsea have experienced what is, by their standards at least, something of a slowdown.
While no other club has generated quite as many headlines this summer, there have not been any new signings since Werner’s transfer was officially confirmed in June.
That could soon change, however, with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia at the centre of a tangled web of negotiations. Excitingly for Chelsea fans, there seems to have been movement on the Kai Havertz front.
