This week saw the conclusion of The Last Dance, Netflix and ESPN’s gripping 10-part documentary that offered the definitive account of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls’ bid to win a sixth NBA Championship in 1998 With Jordan as the talisman, the Bulls defeated Utah Jazz 4-2 in a thrilling finals series to capture their sixth title in eight years, bringing a fitting end to the dynasty that ruled the NBA in the 1990s.
The Last Dance ends at the culmination of the 1997/98 season. After that, however, that famous Bulls side were broken up as the franchise went into a rebuild.
