Wetherspoons claims customers 'faked' injuries after pub ceiling collapsed

Wetherspoons has claimed that two customers 'pretended' to be injured after a pub ceiling fell down. Emergency services were called to the North and South Bank pub in Wrexham at around 10.20pm on Friday night.

Footage shared with our sister title the Daily Post shows chunks of plaster tumbling down. Read more: In a statement, Wetherspoons later confirmed no staff or customers were injured during the incident.

However, the pub chain claims some customers who were at the bar at the time 'pretended' to have been injured during the incident.

The pub will remain closed until further notice while a structural engineer, builder and architect assess the damage. A spokesperson for JD Wetherspoons told North Wales Live : “At 10:23 pm (Friday)
