Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

A woman has been left with 'serious injuries' after she was hit by a car in Wigan this morning (Friday, December 10). Police were called to Warrington Road in Abram shortly after 7.30am following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian. "A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries," a statement from Greater Manchester Police said. The stretch of road between the Bucks Head pub and Kingsdown Road in Abram has been closed following reports of the incident.
