West Lothian Council has asked the Boundary Commission to redraw Westminster constituencies to respect historic links in West Lothian towns.Proposals put before the Council Executive by the commission suggested moving parts of Whitburn and Blackburn into the Livingston constituency.Labour depute group leader Kirsteen Sullivan, cited the towns’ traditional links to Bathgate and she raised a motion calling on the commission to reconsider its plans.At an earlier meeting of the Partnership and Resources PDSP, she had said: “I am quite concerned about the proposals.
