It arrives alongside news the Washington-based singer-songwriter has signed with iconic label 4AD.The new song, which follows on from last year’s ‘Weights’ and 2020 album ‘Live Forever’, opens with a sparse, slow-burning guitar line before pivoting into an emotive, high-energy indie rocker. “This song is a culmination of some beautiful things,” Strange says of the track.‘Heavy Heart’ arrives alongside a music video directed by Marisa Dabice of Mannequin Pussy.

Mannequin Pussy have announced a run of UK headline shows for this spring – find all the details below.The Philadelphia punk band are due to hit the road on these shores in support of their fourth and latest studio album, 2024’s ‘I Got Heaven’.They’ll kick off the trek with a gig at St. Luke’s in Glasgow on May 19 before taking to the stage at Manchester’s Academy 2 (May 20) and Bristol’s SWX (22).Following these dates, Mannequin Pussy will make their previously confirmed appearances at London’s Wide Awake Festival (23), Derby’s Bearded Theory (24) and Reading & Leeds 2025 (August 22, 23).The group are also scheduled to play headline concerts in Paris, Nijmegen, Amsterdam and Berlin in May.Tickets for the band’s 2025 UK and European headline shows go on general sale at 10am GMT this Friday (February 7) – you’ll be able to buy yours here.
