Leah even stayed in the hotel the night before the wedding, and was waited on by her own personal butler. On the day itself, their 70 guests arrived by coach from Hastings, East Sussex – and were “very jolly by the time they got there”, recalls Leah.
The Normans and their guests had never experienced anything like the luxury of the hotel. At one point, Leah recalls that her aunt complained of high heels hurting her feet.
