Ronaldo Johnson was the back seat passenger in a Ford Focus which collided with a taxi in Withington at around 3.45am on 31 March.
A number of people had to be cut free from the wreckage and taken to hospital. The taxi driver suffered minor injuries and a passenger in the taxi was also seriously hurt.
