Man 'stabbed with scissors' in woodland stumbles into off-licence dripping with blood from 'head to feet' - officers arrest one suspect

An area of Bury woodland became a crime scene today, after a man in his 50s was reportedly stabbed with ‘scissors’. Police were seen on Tennyson Avenue, on the Goshen Estate, for much of Saturday (February 12) afternoon.

Shortly before 11am, a man appeared at an off-licence covered in blood, shocked workers told the Manchester Evening News. He had blood from his head down to his feet.” It’s thought the man was attacked in woodland near to Tennyson Avenue, before making his way to the store to seek help.

Earlier this evening, Greater Manchester Police confirmed a man had been assaulted and was taken to hospital, with non-serious injuries.
