Holidaymakers in the UK have been warned of an outbreak of norovirus at a popular resort after several families fell ill. Guests staying at Butlins in Skegness have complained that their stays have been ‘ruined’ after being struck by the illness.
Butlins said they have launched enhanced cleaning in response to a small number of ‘sickness and incidents’. Families have claimed that their holidays have ended in episodes of vomiting and diarrhoea, The Mirror reports.
The UKHSA (United Kingdom Health Security Agency) are working with the resort in a bid to stop the spread of infection, it has confirmed.
