Rangers have kicked out an offer from Stoke City for centre-back Ben Davies. Record Sport revealed Rangers are looking to try to move on the 28-year-old with boss Alex Neil keen to snap up the defender on loan to boost their promotion push.
The former Liverpool player is surplus to requirements at Ibrox with John Souttar establishing himself as Michael Beale's first-choice in the left centre-back role to partner Connor Goldson this term.
But The National report the English Championship outfit "did not put an acceptable offer on table" and Rangers have "rebuffed their loan bid" for the 28-year-old.
And with the Englishman looking increasingly likely to remain at Ibrox this summer it could scupper any chance of a late approach to Leicester City to bring Harry Souttar north of the border.
