Denise van Outen and Duncan James have revealed that they recorded a duet together and it's being released as a charity single.
The pair had hinted at an exciting announcement yesterday on Instagram. They announced this morning (Friday) on Good Morning Britain that their version of Dionne Warwick's That’s What Friends Are For is set to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Duncan was welcomed back to the set after filling in for Richard recently. Denise explained how the recording came about: "We went into the studio, recorded the song, a song that we both love.
Because of the sentiment of it and everything, we just thought it's such a nice record, and we wanted to do something with it." "The Macmillan nurses cared for both my grandparents when they were living with cancer, so I wanted to give something back, and the same with Duncan as well." She added about the song: "It's a positive message and it's also just to appreciate your friends and the people that support you around you." The Instagram post announcing the collaboration read: "We are really excited to announce we have released a single ‘That’s what friends are for’ in support of Macmillan Coffee Morning to celebrate the importance of friendship during times of adversity.
