Half a century after its 1960s maisonettes replaced run-down Edwardian terraces, the Grey Mare Lane estate is set for a rebuild.
Next week council chiefs will consider a masterplan that would give the East Manchester neighbourhood hundreds of new, updated and retrofitted homes, a replacement community centre, a new high street and re-landscaped public space.
