Grandma Diane Vennix is finally preparing to fly home to her husband in Australia - after almost TWO YEARS stranded in Salford due to successive lockdowns and travel bans to Melbourne.
Diane, 64, has been trapped here so long that she ended up buying her own house in Eccles, while she patiently waited for news that she could finally book flights and return home.
She lives with husband Martin, 71, in the state of Victoria in Australia - which has had some of the tightest lockdown restrictions in the world through the coronavirus pandemic.
