A Virgin Atlantic air hostess has been forced to swap life in the sky for stacking shelves in Asda after the struggling airline furloughed her.
Sara Haider, 36, is used to the glamorous life of an air stewardess but is now stacking shelves at Asda after Virgin Atlantic furloughed her – and hundreds like her – due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Stunning Sara, also a personal trainer, said she is having a “blast” on the shop floor in Lancing, West Sussex. The cabin crew member said she applied at Asda as soon as she knew she was being furloughed so she could “make a difference” in the community.
