Vincent Kompany has been unveiled as the new Anderlecht manager after announcing his retirement from playing at the age of 34.
The Premier League great left Manchester City in May 2019 to take over as player-manager of the Belgian side, where he came through the ranks as a youth player.
But after Anderlecht suffered their worst start to a season since the 1998/99 campaign, Kompany stepped down from managing to focus on playing.
Frank Vercauteren took over in the hot seat and guided Anderlecht to an eighth-place finish in the Belgian First Division, but he is rumoured to have clashed with Kompany and has left the club.
