Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

mirror.co.ukBrits will be "more or less back to normal for the summer", a scientific advisor to the government predicted today. Professor Andrew Hayward said the UK can enjoy a "significant return to normality" once all the top priority groups have had the coronavirus vaccine.
The Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) member added that coronavirus is a "seasonal disease", which will help bring case rates down at the same time.
Prof Hayward's comments come after Boris Johnson refused to budge from his date of March 8 for beginning an easing of lockdown, despite the Chief Medical Officer suggesting we have passed the peak of the second wave.
