Met Office has warned that temperatures are set to take a dramatic icy plunge in the coming weeks, with snow a real possibility.
According to their long-range forecast from October 23 to November 6, there is a serious risk of chilly "colder conditions becoming established in early November".Amazingly, this suggests there is a small chance of an extremely rare 'white Halloween' welcoming us on October 31, meaning that trick-or-treaters may want to think about choosing an insulated monster to dress up as this year.
Luckily, the lead-up to our mini-ice age looks set to be splendid with temperatures set to rise to 20C in some places, absolutely scorching for this time of year.
