Mirror Online.Yesterday morning (Friday), mercury began to drop with the day starting off at 8C in the south.Met Office forecaster Aidan McGivern said today will begin with a "chill in the air" for central and southern Britain as ground frost makes an appearance.And morning temperatures will remain in single digits across the country.The dip is thanks to a freezing north westerly wind blowing in from the Arctic, which will remain through the weekend.A band of rainfall is advancing its way down from the north as the morning continues, eventually striking across England and Wales."Some fairly gusty winds with that as well along with a short period of heavy rainfall," continued Mr McGivern, with weather charts showing gusts of 30mph in.
