Downton Abbey and Peaky Blinders.On Thursday (3 March), Dalton Mills went up in flames which took 20 fire engines and more than 100 firefighters several hours to put out which completely destroyed the building.Residents in the nearby area were urged to keep their windows and doors closed and stay inside while the crew worked to put out the fiery inferno as many residents decided to vacate the area to The Leisure Centre at Victoria Park to escape the fumes.Now, the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed crews are continuing to dampen down the remains of the old building.West Yorkshire Fire Service confirmed Friday morning there is still one fire engine and one aerial appliance on the scene continuing to flood the area to prevent any further outbreaks on the site.They told residents: "Damping down in ongoing at Dalton Mill.
